Barack Obama is smarter than we are. He clearly believes that these silly polls that show that the disenchantment with his healthcare plan ranges from 54% to 79% are either wrong or meaningless.
Abe Lincoln has this bit of advice from a campaign speech he gave in 1860.
"With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it nothing can succeed. Consequently he who moulds public sentiment, goes deeper than he who enacts statutes or pronounces decisions."
Oh and since one might complain that Lincoln is a Republican, let's see what JFK had to say on the issue.
"A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people."
Reconciliation? Go ahead, Barack, I can't wait.

Those are great quotes! You should use the JFK quote in a letter to the editor to the Globe...or post it in readers comments at the end of their editorials favoring ObamaCare.
