This is What Baffles Me about Democrat Feminists

I have a wife and two daughters and I have learned from them that women are downtrodden by men.  Mostly white, middle aged men.  I reject the argument but not in its totality.  Not all white guys, but definitely this white guy.

Joe Biden is a blowhard and was a cackling, rude boor in his debate with Paul Ryan. But what struck me without prompting from my personal slate of lefty feminists was how he was particularly rude to Martha Raddatz.  A very good journalist and a woman who has spent far more time in flak jacket at various war fronts than Biden.  His churlish and frankly misogynistic behavior was noticed by many conservative women.

Tonight, Joe Biden is embodying everything that women hate about talking with men.
He was like a drunk uncle at Thanksgiving dinner that was lecturing his 16 year old niece.  I'm sure he had to do all he could to keep from calling her "sweetie".  As I read the blog post linked here by Mollie Hemingway, Ed. I actually felt I learned a great deal about how women feel around a certain type of male.

Where for godsakes are the liberal feminists on this guy?  Is it just another John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Al Gore let the boys be chauvinist just as long as they tell us that they are on our side on abortion, situation?  It appears to be.

Frankly it smacks of a very, very hypocritical tradeoff that is frankly, creepy.

President Giant Ego

When visiting The View (instead of meeting with UN envoys or let's say some guy named Netanyahu) President said; " I understand that I'm just here as eye candy for you guys".  Say Mr. Narcissicism how about spending time instead finding out how our Ambassador to Libya and 3 other Americans were brutally murdered last week.

Main Stream Media - not a peep, move on, nothing to see here.

New York Environmentalists Explain Why Fracking is Bad

Most hilariously, the enviro-activists have demanded that state officials explore an alleged link between fracking and — we kid you not — syphilis.
They argue that a drilling boom would draw an influx of male workers from other states who would engage in activities of a kind that would spread sexually transmitted diseases.
They also contend that a boom would trigger a housing crunch, adding to homelessness and the health ailments that go along with it.
And that increased truck traffic would not only lead to more road fatalities, but would also — again, no kidding — discourage people from getting the outdoor exercise they need to stay fit.
This is absurd. If New York starts saying no to entire industries on the grounds they might trigger population changes, rising home prices and truck traffic, it might as well turn out the lights.

Well I admit I just wasn't paying enough attention to these issues.

Global Sea Ice Has Increased

What? But the Arctic sea ice has melted to a scary level, right? Global warming is going to flood the beaches of Florida soon, right. Not so fast, scaremongers.

Day 256 Antarctic ice is the highest ever for the date, and the eighth highest daily reading ever recorded. All seven higher readings occurred during the third week of September, 2007 – the week of the previous Arctic record minimum.

And total Global Sea ice is up

Univision Teaches US Media About Balanced Journalism

Univision decided not to rollover and serve softballs to Obama in a recent televised interview. They asked questions about Obama's promise to provide comprehensive immigration policy in his first year and why Eric Holder was not fired for the Fast and Furious gun walking policy that ended in hundreds of dead Mexicans.  This was not the fun type of Letterman or The View interviews that typically protect him from tough questions.

Journalism: The big media haven't exactly distinguished themselves with their lazy, biased coverage of President Obama. So it's nice to see a media outlet that asks tough questions and informs its viewers. Univision, take a bow.
No doubt, President Obama entered the Univision studio last Thursday for a televised candidate's appearance thinking it would be a cakewalk.

MSNBC Wants You to Think There are No People of Color in the Republican Party

MSNBC the network that espouses liberal and DNC talking points 24/7 is the whitest of the networks. All PrimeTime on air personalities morning (Morning Joe) and evening (Shultz, Matthews, Maddow, Mitchell and the other white guy Larry something or other) are white.  The exception is Al Sharpton whose combined talents of political pundit for the left and on air host seem awkwardly intertwined.

So to continue the meme that "that hey it's the Republicans that are racist" MSNBC chose to not show the minority speakers on the first night of the Repub convention.  They cut away from, and chose not even to talk about; a dynamic black woman Mia Love who excoriated the actions of Obama and brought the house down, Ted Cruz - charismatic Senate candidate from Texas, and Artur Davis, a black former Democrat who seconded Obama's nomination in 2008 but gave a rousing speech that appealed to former Obama voters.  You can bet MSNBC literally ran around shouting "make sure he doesn't get on".  It's embarrassing for MSNBC to have to do this to continue to try and fool their 38 viewers into thinking that the Republican party is racist.  Those three speeches rivaled the Ann Romney and Chris Christie speeches that came later in their enervating messages.

Jake Tapper Agrees with Halperin About Media Bias

Our cute little self-coined phrase Jourtegrity Lost has been around for a few years now and judging by how things have gone during the Obama presidency and his re-election campaign (which seem to be one and the same) the term has become more and more prophetic.  Jake Tapper, who has had to tread lightly on his belief that journalism is supposed to be neutral (in order to not anger the ABC news overlords) has again ventured into dangerous waters in speaking about the 2008 presidential campaign.

"Sometimes I saw with story selection, magazine covers, photos picked, [the] campaign narrative, that it wasn’t always the fairest coverage."
Speaking with Laura Ingraham and quoted in the Weekly Standard Online Tapper simply thinks the media is clouding the real issues of this campaign.

More Admission by the Media that the Media is in the Tank for Obama

As the race for President of the United States gets tighter and as it starts to appear that Romney/Ryan have a real chance to win this thing, you are seeing a media that realizes it may need to prepare for a possibility that someone other than their guy will be in power. They are fessing up and the 4 year rah-rah parade is coming to an end.

Mark Halperin of MSNBC .  "the media is very susceptible to doing what the Obama campaign wants."

Okay, can it be made any clearer?  Is it a question anymore?

Soledad Show Preps ON AIR with UltraLib Website Notes

Anyone that thinks that CNN is somehow in the tank for President Obama should be ashamed of themsel......what?  Soledad got caught doing what?  Soledad O' Brien of CNN who likes to fist pump in studio guests when they say the right things (though she calls it the Obama bump) is so NOT a journalist  that it is uproariously funny. Please check out this story from Newsbusters.

Soledad O'Brien uses Talking Points Memo for her source for quotes....

They aren't even trying to hide it anymore.During her interview with Virginia House of Delegates Republican member Barbara Comstock, O’Brien became visibly flustered and was actually caught doing finger stress exercises as she attempt [sic] to insert editorial commentary while her guest, a former skilled Republican operative, defended the House GOP budget, designed by Budget Chairman Paul Ryan.

Accidentally, a cameraman captured O’Brien furiously flipping through notes, only to cut out seconds later.
Indeed:
Once blown up, the picture told quite a story:
What she's reading from is a TPM article titled "The Myth Of Paul Ryan The Bipartisan Leader" published Monday at 6:08 PM only a few hours before this program started.

But 8.3% is not Really higher than 8.2%

The legacy media has done an incredible job of disguising the complete failure on virtually all fronts of the Obama presidency.  Not since Baghdad Bob have we been told left is right, up is down and high unemployment, record foreclosures and tripling of the national debt are good things.  Some people are starting to cut through the veil of lies.

86% of news about Romney's tour - Negative

When Obama went to Europe as the Dem candidate in 2008 he was crowned a "rock star".  Romney's tour is misreported by the 3 networks as a "failure".

Obama was treated like a rock star (from the Associated Press: "It's not only Obama's youth, eloquence and energy that have stolen hearts across the Atlantic...."), Romney endured a focus on gaffes and the trivial.
Now that's jourtegrity!

Word Going Around is Harry Reid is an Idiot

I don't know this for sure of course, but it's what I heard. His Dad must be so embarrassed. Jon Stewart could have passed on this as all other libs have but he didn't.  Something is going on at the Daily Show and I'm liking it.

Even the Daily Show Sees ABC's Bias

After the horrific massacre in Colorado many people heard  Brian Ross (ABCs chief investigative journalist) tell George Stepanopoulos how he discovered that the killer might be a tea party member.  He discovered this by simply googling "tea party and james holmes".  What a discovery! Stepanopoulos was intrigued. Jon Stewart of the Daily Show, not so much..

Another Mainstream Journalist Calls Out NBC

Katie Couric's former producer reported by Breitbart.

Forget it. I’m done.  You deserve what they’re saying about you.  It’s earned.  You have worked long and hard to merit the suspicion, acrimony, mistrust and revulsion that the media-buying public increasingly heaps upon you.   You have successfully eroded any confidence, dispelled any trust, and driven your audience into the arms of the Internet and the blogosphere, where biases are affirmed and like-minded people can tell each other what they hold to be true, since nobody believes in objective reality any more.  You have done a superlative job of diminishing what was once a great profession and undermining one of the vital underpinnings of democracy, a free press.
Good job.
I just have one question:
What the hell is wrong with you guys?

Deacon Greg Kandra multiple award winning journalist has had enough. There must be hundreds of other journalists who would like the aching pain in the pit of their stomachs to go away also.

MSNBC's Ed Schultz is Paid to Shill for Unions

More journalistic integrity from the great Obama media shills on the left. Ed Schultz, slimeball extraordinaire is paid not just by MSNBC but by various unions to throw his daily red meat to the ultra lefties.

A Labor Department spokesman confirmed to NewsBusters that Schultz received $190,000 from CWA  in fiscal 2011, far from than the $7,500 he was paid by the union a year earlier. The spokesman said unions are mandated to report such payments as required by the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act.
For its fiscal 2010 payment to Schultz, the union characterized the payment as pertaining to "union administration," according to Labor Department records.

The fiscal year before that, unions paid Schultz $42,500 -- $17,500 from the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, $10,000 from AFSMCE, and $7,500 each from the Building and Construction Trades union and International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. All were for "political activities," according to the Labor Department.
This is the guy who called Laura Ingraham a "right wing slut". (Obama forgot to call her about it).

Help Me, So That I Can Help YOU.

In Chicago they call it "Pay to Play".

"More than half of Obama’s 47 biggest fundraisers, those who collected at least $500,000 for his campaign, have been given administration jobs. Nine more have been appointed to presidential boards and committees.

At least 24 Obama bundlers were given posts as foreign ambassadors, including in Finland, Australia, Portugal and Luxembourg. Among them is Don Beyer, a former Virginia lieutenant governor who serves as ambassador to Switzerland and Lichtenstein."

These are not the people standing in the unemployment line so don't even joke that this helps the jobs issue.

Feminist Hypocrisy

Of course Sandra Fluke should not have been called a "slut". No woman should be. And that includes women who are not in the liberal camp.  Michelle Malkin daily target of some of the filthiest slurs that liberal thinkers can conjure up explains. Kirsten Powers of the Daily Beast gives her take as well.

Obama Administration Worst Transparency in Six Adminstrations

Obama declared his presidency would be the most open, honest and transparent in history.  It is just the opposite.  Chalk up another Obama falsehood. From Politico.

“Obama is the sixth administration that’s been in office since I’ve been doing Freedom of Information Act work. … It’s kind of shocking to me to say this, but of the six, this administration is the worst on FOIA issues. The worst. There’s just no question about it,” said Katherine Meyer, a Washington lawyer who’s been filing FOIA cases since 1978. “This administration is raising one barrier after another. … It’s gotten to the point where I’m stunned — I’m really stunned.”
I bet if you ask the average Obama supporter they're probably unaware of this also.

The administration has embarked on an unprecedented wave of prosecutions of whistleblowers and alleged leakers — an effort many journalists believe is aimed at blocking national security-related stories. “There just seems to be a disconnect here. You want aggressive journalism abroad; you just don’t want it in the United States,” ABC News correspondent Jake Tapper told White House press secretary Jay Carney at a recent briefing for reporters.

Imagine how George W. Bush would have been treated.  The main stream media totally ignores these issues with the current President. I find myself laughing at this stuff, but it's actually not funny.

Follow the Money. More Obama Crony Capitalism

It is amazing how Democrats flocked to Obama thinking they were getting a man of the people.  A transparent administration that will be a shining example of integrity and honest government. What they got instead is the most corrupt administration in presidential history.  Obama will be the wealthiest ex-president ever with the line up of Wall Street financiers and mega wealthy corporate captains of industry that he has cowed to.

The Washington Post can't even overlook at least one obvious example. The Clean Energy scam is on.
Overall, the Post found that $3.9 billion in federal grants and financing flowed to 21 companies backed by firms with connections to five Obama administration staffers and advisers.

This news, plus the embarassing Solyndra half-billion dollar loss (a loan that the Bush Administration saw as bad financial practice) is merely the tiny tip of a giant iceberg called "The 870 Billion Dollar Stimulus, Where Did it Actually Go?" .  Someday we'll get the details.  But not now, not from this media.

Another Obama Media Lieutenant David Gregory Reports for Duty

David Gregory, host of Meet the Press for NBC, couldn't  hold Tim Russert's jockstrap.  Gregory spends each Sunday morning asking the awkward questions of anybody - candidate or pundit, who would stand in the way of an Obama re-election. Champion of the straw man argument, here's what Gregory decided was a worthy question of Rick Santorum  on a major network television show.
Gregory asked Santorum whether, if elected president, he would only permit single women without children to work in his administration.  That's right: Gregory was actually wondering whether Santorum would prohibit mothers from serving.  Santorum didn't rise to Gregory's absurd bait, giving a smiling and good-natured response to the effect all women would be welcome in a Santorum administration.

The Global Warming Scam Continues to Crumble

Sorry the glaciers and Himalayas are NOT melting. Nevermind.

The world's greatest snow-capped peaks, which run in a chain from the Himalayas to Tian Shan on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan, have lost no ice over the last decade, new research shows.
The discovery has stunned scientists, who had believed that around 50bn tonnes of meltwater were being shed each year and not being replaced by new snowfall.
The ever growing herd of climate change/global warming skeptics have provided reams of research and spoken at thousands of conferences over the last 20 years questioning the entire premise of a warming globe.  And more importantly they have disagreed heartily with the premise that CO2 (the very gas that we exhale) is somehow a toxin that is changing the earth.s climate. The only word that comes to mind is bullshit.

Oh, and the polar ice caps are also not melting even as the CO2 gas increases in the atmosphere.
While vast quantities of ice melting into the ocean is not exactly good news, Wahr says, according to his team's estimates, about 30 percent less ice is melting than previously thought.

More Proof That Climate Change is a Big Scam

At the NOAA- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association they are deep into climate change.
Their very existence apparently depends on us all "believing" in the religion of Anthropogenic Global Warming.

Here's a "survey" the NOAA circulates to its employees.  I wonder what the message is?

How likely are you to keep your job if the public is informed that climate change will not affect them or their descendents in a negative manner?

Best climate site on the innertubes, WUWT, has the full story

CBS News Does the DNC's Bidding for 12 Minutes

The CBS Evening news with Scott Pelley last night was absolutely laughable in its ham-handed bias towards Romney.  First 12 minutes were spent enlightening the audience on Romney's supposed gaffe about his lack of concern for "the very poor".  Out of context the quote is a tough one for Mitt and we were treated by CBS with an out of context version first (with a poorly truncated edit). On and on the story went with comments from Gingrich, various Dems and chastisement from the reporter in the field.  We also got a little collage of Romney's other "insensitive" comments all rolled into one.  The next "story" was about how Romney and his SuperPacs are collecting millions to buy the election....After 12 minutes of this we get a :40 story about how Obama was out trying to fix the mortgage crisis with a new "plan".

At 6:30PM each weeknight the big three roll out their 30 minute evening news programs on the East Coast.  I have this vision of Obama, Axelrod and the adoring Obamanites all clinking Scotch filled tumblers as they laugh and smile at each other while the networks try to outdo each other in their bastardizing of broadcast journalism for the sake of BHO.

Jake Tapper of ABC news was right when he said "the media tilted the scales toward Obama in 2008".  This time around they're already sitting on the scales and the public is getting ripped off far worse.

It's 2 against 1. The Democrats and the Media against the Republicans.

The White House Enemies List

For those who believe Mitt Romney should lighten up his defense of attacks from his Republican rivals understand this: Obama and his election team will stop at nothing to win.  They and the media "who tilt the scales" in Obama's favor will employ every tactic - honest or dishonest to keep Obama in office.  Romney is toughening himself up and needs to get stronger every day.
What would you do if the White House engaged in derogatory speculative innuendo about the integrity of your tax returns? Suppose also that the president's surrogates and allies in the media regularly attacked you, sullied your reputation and questioned your integrity. On top of all of that, what if a leading member of the president's party in Congress demanded your appearance before a congressional committee this week so that you could be interrogated about the Keystone XL oil pipeline project in which you have repeatedly—and accurately—stated that you have no involvement?
Ted Olsen is shedding light on the enemies list that Axelrod, Obama et al have developed and are continuing to develop to bring down honest US citizens in order to create the bogeymen that this group of Dems feel is necessary to bring out the vote against the Republican candidate.

Income Inequality Has Drastically Lessened

There are 40% fewer millionaires now than there were 5 years ago.  Millionaires are reporting income that is half of what it was 5 years ago.  The percentage of wealth owned by the 1% peaked at 22.8% and is now less than 15%.  Tax prof explains it all.

Income inequality is still an issue, but the facts have drastically changed thanks to the recession.  The media and OWS should use the newer, more accurate numbers.

Sorry Al, the Real Inconvenient Truths are Piling Up

The global warming/climate change (what are we calling it this month?) folks have to be feeling a little embarrassed.  This 85 billion dollar industry (it can be called nothing else) has thoroughly infused itself into a public awareness in a way that only old wives' tales and urban legends have.  With smoke and mirrors. Yet the truth is that we are entering a very natural, cyclical and historically supported period that will be known as the 21st century ice age.

More polar bears, less hurricanes and tornadoes - not more; more antarctic ice and a 15 year period occurring right now when temperatures have not risen, are but a few of the very obvious bits of fact that are pulling the curtain back on a disgusting, expensive propagandic trick.

The second recent batch of Climategate emails proves the scam, hiding behind the proclamation that "it's settled science!", pseudo scientists are giving real scientists a bad name.

Populist Elizabeth Warren is worth 14.5 Million.

And claims she is "not wealthy".  As a person who claims to have created the intellectual framework for the 99%ers of the OWS movement I'd say she may be a little deluded.
hard to see how Warren wouldn't be, by most standards, wealthy, according to the Personal Financial Disclosure form she filed to run for Senate shows that she's worth as much as $14.5 million. She earned more than $429,000 from Harvard last year alone for a total of about $700,000, and lives in a house worth $5 million.

Okay Political "Fact Checkers" Time to Check the Obama SOTU Speech

The political fact checker has become the new phony name for agenda driven parsing of Republican commentary.  The fact checkers have worked overtime with their "pants on fire", "4 pinnochios" cleverness.  Each of the leading Republicans have been ridiculed for lies, fabrications and stretching the truth. No democrats have been under such scrutiny. It's open season on Repubs and the Democratic National Committee is laughing up its collective sleeves.

Well the Prez is giving his SOTU speech right now and is spewing economic data that purports that we are basically living in an economic Nirvana.  The numbers he's offering up are simply not true.

The political fact checkers, if they are indeed fair fact checkers, will have mountains of information for us tomorrow correcting President Obama.

I shall not hold my breath waiting.

UPDATE:

Surprise, surprise the New York Times fact checking site finds the speech to be pretty darn accurate.  Take a look at ANY sentence that actually references comparative numbers "most domestic oil production in 16 years" and on and on and you'll see that they simply don't investigate one single quantitative claim.

Obama's Pipeline Denial Helps Warren Buffet

One of Warrren Buffet's largest holdings in Berkshire Hathaway is Burlington Northern railroad.  Suspiciously Buffett (Obama's close pal) will be rewarded with millions of dollars because Obama won't allow the XL pipeline to be built allowing the railroad to carry the crude and a much higher cost. Was Obama's decision influenced by his relationship with Buffet? Don't expect the mainstream media to bring it up.

The rail option, though costlier, would lessen the environmental impact, such as a loss of wetlands and agricultural productivity, compared to the pipeline, according to the State Department analysis. Greenhouse gas emmissions, however, would be worse.
The devil is always in the details. And a media that's so in the tank for Obama and the Democrats will never dig deep to the one thin layer that let's the sunshine of truth in.

The Gnawing Guilt of Jake Tapper

I've always liked Jake Tapper of ABC news.  He is a member of what most Republicans and some Independents call the Main Stream Media or Legacy Media or some other ungracious moniker. He is the White House correspondent and has had the courage to go nose-to-nose with Republican and Democrat communications lackeys. I wish he would be more contentious than he is, I wish that he would point out the naked emperor with more gusto, but the truth is he can't. Not with what I'm sure is a very short leash from his ABC overlords.

But he clearly feels guilty about how journalism has become so agenda driven and that his agenda is to support Democrats and the Obama administration. ABC is no longer even trying to disguise this fact. The embarrassing performance by George Stephanopoulos at the Republican debate in New Hampshire this past Saturday is the most recent example. Hounding the candidates, primarily Romney, about a contraception issue that doesn't even exist, in lieu of discussing the economy, foreign policy tells you all you need to know about what "the agenda" is.   The absolute absence of critique of Obama during the ABC evening news while making sure that at least one or two Republicans are made to look foolish also confirms the bias.

But Jake tries every so often. It's clear that if there is at least one broadcast journalist that has trouble sleeping at night it's Jake Tapper. That may be why on this past weekend's ABC Sunday talk show he said, in referring to the 2008 presidential election, "you had the media, perhaps, tilting on the scales a little bit." (one of the factors "going for Obama").  The collective inhalation of air in the room probably wiggled the huge sound drapes surrounding the set.

I once thought that maybe Jake is a closet conservative who might do well taking his talents to Fox News.  But I'm sure he's not. He would feel just as upset at the extreme bias that goes on over there. I actually think he may be what the media really needs - an honest guy who is dying to be the kind of journalist that he must have been inspired to become - neutral, but probing.

One has to wonder how many other Jake Tappers there are out there who could improve their sleep with an occasional honest utterance about media bias?  Come home honest journalists, it is you more than politicians, who can bring a divided country together.
