I think it was Dionne Warwick who sang..."Promises, promises this is where those promises promises end.." First it was Obama supporters helping take down Prop 8 and now this. I'm not sure that Obama is going to win the gay vote in the next election.

Does a big postponement in keeping a promise count as a broken promise? Maybe as you keep track of Obama's broken promises you could count postponed promises as half-a point or something?

A big postponement in keeping a promise simply means "I hope the electorate will forget about this".
We certainly know the media will.
