Stop picking on our new Senator from Illinois Roland Burris

At least he held a public office. The next two Senators we're likely to have foisted upon us never held any public office. Comedian Al Franken is about to win a highly suspicious recounted election in Minnesota and Poetess Caroline Kennedy will be appointed by the Governor of NY with a little nudging from the DNC and the POTUS elect.

Holding a seat in the Senate of the United States of America is now officially a joke.

Will the Senate Democrats find a way to rationalize seating Burris, after pledging not to seat anyone selected by Blago? Reid has said that he's always open to negotiation -- maybe he'll back Burris with Burris promising that he won't then run for the seat?
