President Betrayed by the Evil-Prompter-Doer

Teleprompters do get out of hand but adoring crowds at campaign rallies tend to think it's cute...and allow for flubs.

But when you become President the problems somehow seem, well, very embarassing. I'd recommend reading from a script. Scripts don't run ahead on you.

I don't know, does reading from a teleprompter about everything tend to lessen the credibility of your strong convictions about the message..just a little?

Update:

This little nugget from Harry Reid's new book via Yahoo.com:

Reid, D-Nev., writes: "'That speech was phenomenal, Barack,' I told him. And I will never forget his response. Without the barest hint of braggadocio or conceit, and with what I would describe as deep humility, he said quietly: 'I have a gift, Harry.'"

Provided the telepromter is working correctly.

When Obama said "I have a gift," maybe he was referring to the teleprompter. Perhaps it was given to him as a Christmas present by Joe Biden.

Joe doesn't give gifts. Remember he gave a grand total of $120 on an income of $321,000 to charity two years ago.
